Resources for Faculty & Staff

Faculty play a critical role in preparing students for success beyond the classroom, and the Monarch Internship and Co-Op Office (MICO) is here to support you in that mission. Whether you’re guiding students toward professional opportunities, integrating work-based learning into your curriculum, or developing departmental internships, MICO is your partner in work-based learning.

Through our Virtual Office, faculty can:

  • Connect with employers to build pipelines for internships in your discipline
  • Post departmental internships, research opportunities, or field placements to broaden access for students
  • Direct students to resources for transcript recognition, internship advising, and zero-credit course enrollment (UNIV 68 / GRAD 668)
  • Promote discipline-specific events, workshops, and employer panels to your targeted student populations
  • Collaborate with MICO staff on internship course design, experiential learning frameworks, and transcript documentation for WBL

Whether you’re teaching a large course or mentoring students one-on-one, MICO is here to help you strengthen your students’ professional readiness and connect classroom learning with real-world experience.
